“Oh my goodness! You have a serious Lushy living here!”

These are the words I said to my friend, CC, as she showed me around her flat. I would be staying with her and her flatmates for the next week and a half. The inside of her bathroom looked like the wonderful inside of a Lush store, and I couldn’t control myself. I wanted to inhale every product in sight!

Nessie Out of Water- My Favorite Lush Products for Travel

You see, I love Lush products.

And “love” is an understatement. I know there is a difference between ‘like’ and ‘love’ – because “I like my Sketchers, but I love my Prada backpack” and all…
Simply put, I adore the smell, I crave the quality, I cherish the characteristics, and I – okay, I’m out of different words. I admire the company so much! With the portability of their products, it’s no wonder I have to shop there every time I travel.

So what products can I not live without when I head overseas?

1.Ultrabland – Buy on Amazon!

Ultrabland has been a huge help for me so many times! It serves two purposes: a) It moisturizes, and b) cleanses.

How I Use It:
I have used it (in small doses) as a general facial moisturizer, such as when I’m on an airplane and my skin starts to feel dried out, or when I arrive in a cold northern country in the dead of winter and all the moisture is zapped from my cute little face.
To wash your face with it, you simply massage it into your face, then wipe it off with a warm wash rag. I really like that it will remove your makeup and clean your face, and somehow still acts as a moisturizer once you’ve wiped your face off.

2. Toothy Tabs – Buy on Amazon!

Toothy Tabs, to be honest, can be a little disturbing. They are shaped like little mints, and you have to crush them with your teeth into a powder before you can start brushing. If you are easily disturbed, go ahead and just start with Ultrablast. After going through a few boxes, they still made me a little bothered, but fortunately, when I was in London, I discover Ultrablast and it was a complete game changer!

Ultrablast comes in a plastic container and is already a fine powder. You simply wet your toothbrush and dip it into the powder, then brush as normal. I purchased a tub and instantly fell in love with it! There are essential oils mixed in (lavender, spearmint, peppermint!), so even after brushing, your mouth remains fresh feeling

Why:
Travel size toothpaste simply doesn’t last me. I may get five uses out of a tube and then it’s gone! A tub of Ultrablast takes up about the size of maybe two travel size tubes of toothpaste, and Toothy Tabs are the size of just one and will last a long time!

i am sorry to say this @lavidalush but BLING! might just have Limelight beat. 🙊😅 #lush #lushcosmetics #lushie #lushlife #lushaddict

3. Magical Moringa
   View on Lush.com!

The first time I tried Magical Moringa, I was hooked! Technically, it is a magical matte moisturizer for your face (making it an awesome product for guys and gals!), however, I use it as a makeup primer as well! Just a small dab goes a long way and it really smooths over my imperfections! I have found that I need to use department store quality foundation when I use it as a primer, as well as a moistened beauty blender to really smooth it over- otherwise it tends to get a little blotchy looking. I’m not sure why the high-end foundation is needed, but I have tried it with a foundation from Walmart as well and it simply didn’t smooth very well.

Try it first!

I suggest sampling it with your makeup before purchasing, and at Lush, they are always happy to fill a small take-away container for you to try a product out at home!

4. Honey I Washed My Hair
 – View on Lush.com!

The smell of this product— oh dear! It makes me want to wash my hair daily, however, I never need to when I use this product. Though it is a rather moisturizing shampoo, if I didn’t get stuck in a rainstorm or a sweaty heat wave, I normally go two to three days before washing my hair again. It just doesn’t get dirty very fast! It is also safe for color treated hair, which was huge for me!

Why:

The size is rather small, so it doesn’t take up much space. The Lush website claims it will last up to 80 washes, which is definitely more than a travel sized shampoo bottle!
Plus, being a solid means that it doesn’t cut into your liquids allowance when flying.

5. No Drought – Buy on Amazon!

I am a huge dry shampoo fan! Sometimes, a shower just doesn’t fit into your busy schedule and your hair is just a *little* bit on the iffy side. Believe me when I say my day has been saved by a dose of dry shampoo on far too many occassions.

Why:
Lush’s No Drought comes in a simple plastic bottle, making it airplane friendly and easy to use. You don’t need to worry about transporting an aerosol can around or about damaging the environment with it. Just a sprinkle in your hair should do, followed by a quick brush out. If you have especially dark hair and find yourself seeing dry shampoo residue, I’ve heard adding a dash of cocoa powder into the bottle can make all the difference.
